Squidoo Lens 90-day Experiment Update

Well, good news today.

One of my Squidoo Lens just made a sale today.  I made $0.18.  I know it’s not much but it is a sale and the Lens is only 20 days old. And the traffic for the 20 days was only 6 visitors. The traffic came from Yahoo.  So that’s a conversion of 18%. That is really good.

I’m glad something happened. You never know if something is going to work until you try it. I’m always trying new stuff. It’s the only way to see what works and what doesn’t.

I expect very little traffic for about 3 months. This is the time period that Google takes to evaluate/rank a website. After that I should be getting around 30 UV per day.

Squidoo Lens 30 Day Experiment Extension

I decided to extend the Squidoo 30 day experiment to 90 days since there is not a lot of data to make any conclusions with. A few of the 9 Squidoo lens are getting a very small amount of traffic but not enough to call if traffic.

I’m going to do some more bookmarking backlinks to each of the 9 Squidoo Lens and see what happens. Sometimes it takes 90 days for Google to start sending some traffic.

Bookmarking Demon 4 Review Continued

I finished adding accounts for each Social Bookmarking site. It’s great that Bookmarking Demon saves all of this information. You can create many accounts that are unique so it looks natural.

I then added a few websites to bookmark. I added about 10 sites which was a mistake. It took a long time for Bookmarking Demon to bookmark these sites to 5 Social Bookmarking websites. I think one issue was that 2 of my websites have 100 pages and so it was adding each page. Don’t do this. Only bookmark one page or two.

After that job finally finished, I decided to bookmark sites individually or one at a time. This worked much better and was faster. Bookmarking Demon does this very well.

I also added a few new Scuttle sites to Bookmarking Demon. It very easy, you just have to know what kind of site it is like Scuttle, Scuttle Plus or Pligg.

Now let’s see what the effect of Social Bookmarking has on a new Squidoo Lens or blog.
