I see a lot of people complaining about Google AdSense. They’re upset because they are not making much money with Google AdSense. I just want to make it clear that Google Adsense is a money maker. Make NO mistake about it! I do quite well from Google AdSense. it is a great PPC program. You have to know how it works though.
In order to earn money from Google AdSense, you have to understand how it works and how to use the system to your benefit. I have a feeling that people are just slapping the AdSense ads on any blog and in any location and expecting $50/day. Well, that’s not going to happen. There are 3 main criteria that have to be met in order to earn money from AdSense.
- Use Profitable Keywords
- Proper AdSense Ad Placement
- Traffic
If your blog is about a subject that has low paying keywords, then you most likely will not earn much money no matter how many clicks you get. The subject of your blog is very important. If you have an existing blog and want to monetize it then do some serious keyword research and find the most profitable keywords in your niche and use them. This takes some work and these profitable keywords will not pop out of the thin air. You have to dig them out. Use Keyword Elite.
Google AdSense ads must be in a good location where readers focus and are likely to click. These locations are the Body of Posts, Header, Footer, Left top column and right top column. If you do not use these locations, you are likely to get few clicks. The body of the post is the ultimate location for ads. Try to make use of this location. I think the second best location is the upper left column. I use this location and it produces quite well. Also don’t forget to blend the ad into your blog template color scheme. This is also important. I know this is work but it will pay off. Keep trying until you find the right combination of location, size, ad type and colors.
And last but not least you do need some traffic. BUT YOU DO NOT NEED MUCH!! I see a lot of people saying you need thousands of visitors per day to earn money with AdSense. This is not true. You can earn some good money with very little traffic. By very little traffic I mean 20 - 50 visitors per day. I have a blog that makes $3 - $4 per day on 25 - 30 visitors per day. CTR can be quite good with the right keywords.
So you see, Google AdSense can and does make money. You decide how much.
