Article Directory submission is a great way to get back links and traffic. I always include article directory submissions as part of my blog promotion strategy. It has worked very well for all my blogs.
Here’s how it works. You will need to register for an account with each article directory. You write a unique keyword rich (not spammy) article for article directory submission. When you submit it to an article directory you can enter information about you in an Author Bio box. In this Author Bio Info box, you write something about yourself and then add your website links. Some allow 2 or 3 links. It depends on the article directory. Once you submit your article to a directory modify it slightly and then submit to the next directory. I’m not big on submitting the exact same article to multiple article directories. I also use different keywords in the Author Bio box as anchor text. I like uniqueness.
You can do article directory manually. This works fine if you want to do a little bit at a time. Like 5 submissions per day. But if you want to do article directory submission with more efficiency then use SEO Elite or Article Submitter. These 2 products make article submission a snap. They store your account info and articles for you. All you have to do is click a few times and it’s done. You can add new article directories to their existing database too.
I was surprised how much traffic I actually get from some of the more popular article directories like ezinearticles.com. Some of my blogs are getting 10 - 20 visitors per day. You also can get some really good back links because most of these article directories have a high pagerank and a lot of traffic. You can get traffic from article directories from 2 sources. First, you get traffic from the article directory itself and second, you get traffic from the search engines from your article’s keyword SERP’s. These articles typically place pretty high in Google’s SERP’s.
As you can see submitting articles to article directories has many benefits. There are literally hundreds of article directories to submit your articles to. Get started now.
