Book Review - Problogger

I’ve read a few books on making money online but have found few to be really good and note worthy. Until now. Problogger, “Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income” is the first book in many years that I have read cover to cover in 2 days. I almost wanted to read it non stop cover to cover but I wanted to save some for the next day and try to absorb more over the 2 day period. I have to say I really enjoyed this book!
ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income
This book is a “Meat and Potatoes” book, no fluff or white space in the book. I have read a few eBooks and found them to be a lot of fluff and lacking substance. I just downloaded and read Yaro’s eBook, “Blog Profits Blueprint“. I read this 10 page or so eBook in one sitting and didn’t find it as detailed as I would have liked. I expected a lot more from Yaro even from a free eBook. If you are going to do something do it right.
The Problogger book is definitely more detailed and inspirational but again it is a full fledged book and not free but hey if your are going to write a publication, make it useful and noteworthy. “Secrets to Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income” was packed with good tips and information that will make you a better writer and blogger and not to mention make some money while at it. I especially enjoyed the chapter on Blog Writing. He discusses 20 different types of bog posts which will give your blog variety. Great material!
The Problogger book will teach you how to write better which is the key to getting readers and traffic. This book reinforces the need for quality content and how to make your blog stand out from the millions of other blogs. The Blog Promotion chapter was another of my favorites. Darren identifies many methods of blog promotion that are easy to do. There’s just a lot of great ideas in this book. I’m making a daily checklist to incorporate some of these methods in my daily activities. This book is going to be my bible for successful blogging. I think Darren is one of the few bloggers that really wants to teach others to be successful.
The Problogger book is definitey worth the $16 that I paid for it and I suspect it will pay for itself many timesover. Anyone serious about blogging or serious about making money blogging, should get a copy of this book. It’s easy reading and not too long that you can’t read it in one sitting.
Bravo Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett! Nice job!

Just to clarify - my Blog Profits Blueprint report is 54 pages, not 10.
I hope you read further than the 10th page :)
Yaro
You are correct it is 54 pages. It sure seemed shorter than that! I rarely look at page numbers while reading though. I guess I expected more details after hearing about yourself on the net. You’re considered one of the “heavyweights” in blogging. I read Darren’s book. It was very good. What other publications have you written? I would like to try again.
