Earn Money with Niche Keywords

Trying to earn money with niche keywords is not as easy as it sounds. Earning money with profitable keywords is the easy part. This is just a matter of writing good keyword rich content with good SEO techniques. The most challenging part is finding profitable keywords. Let me define what I mean by “Profitable”. Profitable keywords are keywords with traffic, low competition and more than 3 Google campaigns. Here is why these 3 criteria for keywords are so important.
Traffic is self explanatory but you need traffic to earn money. Keywords that have absolutely no traffic are worthless. I like keywords to have at least some traffic as shown from a keyword search tool like Keyword Elite. But I have also used keywords that did not show any traffic in Keyword Elite and received some traffic. I’ll use any keywords that look promising though. It’s better to cover as many bases as possible. When in doubt, use the keywords.
Low competition will enable you to get a descent search engine results page position for your keywords and receive some traffic. If keyword competition is high, you may not be able to get placed in the first 10 pages or so of Google or other search engines. I have tried some really competitive keywords and ended up in 433rd position. I still get some traffic though but not much. This is not an ideal position. You want to be positioned at least in the first 10 pages of Google and of course the 1st page is the goal.
The third criteria for profitable keywords is Google Campaigns. Google Campaigns are the Adword keyword campaigns that pay you to show Adsense ads. These are the keyword advertisers where as you are the publisher. You publish the ads and earn money. If you see few or no Adword campaigns then you will not earn money through Google Adsense but you can still earn money. Just use another type of monetization like another PPC program or an affiliate.
However, there is a way in which you can use keywords that have excellent traffic but have no Google Adword campaigns to earn money from Google Adsense. It’s a little tricky but does work and few know about this. Here is what you do. Let’s say you have some keywords with great traffic but no Google campaigns. You write your content with these high traffic keywords with good SEO to get the highest placement possible. Now that you have that done, you add some other keywords that have Google Campaigns into the content. Use a low keyword density for these secondary keywords. Google Adsense will scan the content for keywords and match it to ads. Adsense will show ads relevant to the keywords that it has a match for. Now you’ll get the traffic from the high traffic keywords which will be exposed to the other keyword Adsense ads. You use one set of keywords to get traffic and another to show ads. I use this technique on a few of my blogs. I like to make use of any keywords that have the potential to earn money.
If I haven’t mentioned this before, I recommend using a Keyword Research and Analysis tool. I really like Keyword Elite and have used it for all of my 26 blogs. It works really well and can show you the competition for keywords that appear in the Title, anchor and body. This is important information. The 2 critical fields are Title and Anchor. This is the real competition. It’s very easy to beat keywords in text only and this is really no competition. Keywords in the anchor and title are the real competition though. Keyword Elite is an excellent keyword research and analysis tool. You can generate thousands of keywords and then analyze each one in a few minutes. If you are serious about earning money with niche keywords then get Keyword Elite. It’s easy to use and is worth 100 times it’s cost.
