Use a Paypal donate button to earn money with your blog.
I never thought of this until I read about a blog that earned a significant amount of money from a Paypal donate button. It’s surprising how many people donated cash to the blog. I think it’s great that people give back to others. If you benefit from something, I think it’s only right that you give back in some way. It makes you feel better about yourself. Remember that old saying, “What goes around, comes around.” This is so true. I have seen it in action many times.
Here’s how this works. You place a Paypal Donate button on your blog so that surfers can click on it and send a small donation to your cause. If your blog is noteworthy, people will gladly donate and send money directly to your Paypal account.
First you must have a Paypal account. If you don’t, sign up for one now. Login to your Paypal account and click on the Merchant Services tab. Under the Create Buttons section click on Donate. Fill out the Donation Name/Service. You can use whatever name you like but make it related to your blog because the surfer will see this when donating. You can skip the Donation ID. If you want to restrict the amount then enter whatever amount you want the donations to be. I left mine blank so that the surfer can enter whatever they want to donate. Now choose a button style. Click on Create Button Now. You will now see the code for the button. Copy this code to your blog and you’re all set. I placed this code inside a widget in my WordPress blog and entered a title on the widget, “Help Support My Blog” or whatever you like. This tells people what to do.
