Earn Money Online: Backlink Power

Don’t ever under estimate the power of keyword anchored backlinks. I never really knew until I tried a test. I did a Google search on my anchor text keywords. This really convinced me that backlinks with keyword anchors are what get you high in the SERP’s. Here are the results.
The EZ Money blog has a lot of backlinks that are anchored with the name of the blog, EZ Money. I think there maybe around 1,000 or so with EZ Money as the anchor text. Now I only mention “EZ money” in my blog a few times, no where near 5% density in any of the posts. Anyway, when you do a keyword search in Google for EZ Money, you will see that I am #5 out of 692,000 competing websites. Now remember none of my posts are about EZ Money. It’s only in the blog title and the backlinks that EZ Money appears. So how did EZ Money get on the first page of Google? BACKLINKS with keyword anchor text.
And if this does not convince you then let’s try another blog, Money Moguls. It has around 2,000 backlinks or so and again the name of the blog was used for the anchor text. I did not write any blog posts using the keywords “money moguls”. When you do a keyword search in Google for Money Moguls, you will see my blog is #1 out of 3,480,000 competing sites. The keyword backlinks made it #1 in Google.
This is how you get your blog or website on the first page or even in the #1 position in Google. However do not build garbage backlinks. If you are going to build backlinks, then do it right by selecting related websites to get links from. I also recommend building backlinks manually. This enables you to control the anchor text and the types of websites you’re linking from. This is very important. Google knows quality links and will credit your website or blog from good backlinks. So what are good backlinks?
I like using web directories, article directories, blogs, social bookmarking sites, forums and related websites. I recommend building backlinks slowly. It looks more natural and it won’t kill you by building them all at once.
I build backlinks everyday as part of my backlink strategy. I do about 10 backlinks per day depending on the age of the blog. New blogs need a slower backlink building plan. I don’t build any for a week or two and then start with 5 per week for a month or two and then increase it from there.
You can monitor your progress by viewing your backlinks using a backlink checker. It’s a great tool to use and provided motivation to continue the tedious task of building backlinks. It’s neat to see them growing each week.

Blog Themes - Simple Makes Sense $$$$

Simple and fast WordPress templates or themes will help you earn money, indirectly.
I’ve been playing around with WordPress blog templates/themes for a few months now. I’ve been trying to find something really “Cool”. Well…I did find a cool one BUT it was too slow. My blog was taking forever to load. This is not good. Readers will leave a slow website and not return. I went back to a previous blog theme that I used several months ago. It’s somewhat simple but runs a lot faster and is cleaner. Sometimes you have to put function in front of form.
So when you are looking for a WordPress theme, think about performance. Nobody will wait for a slow blog and you will not earn any money either. My recommendation is a simple, clean template/theme. I like white backgrounds because they are easy to read. The dark backgrounds look really nice but they are hard to read. Think about your readers. Why do you thinks magazines and newspapers are white with black print???? It Works!
