I know you have probably heard lots of secrets to search engine results page positions or SERPs but the truth is backlinks are what have the absolute most impact on your website’s SERPs. The anchor text determines what keyword phrase your website will be ranked for.
Backlinks and anchor text are the KEYS to the SERPs. It is way more powerful than on page SEO and quality content.
Let me prove my point.
I have a celebrity wealth site, www.money-moguls.com that is # 1 in Google and Yahoo for the keyword phrase “money moguls”. I do not use this keyword phrase anywhere in the blog posts yet it ranks #1 in Google and Yahoo. So why? Well, all of the anchor text in the 3,000 backlinks have “Money Moguls” as the anchor text.
Makes sense doesn’t it? There are many crappy websites that rank well for good keyword phrases. I often wondered why.
Now I know and so do you.
