SEO Tips - Low Keyword Density

I’m just going to offer a quick SEO tip regarding keyword density. Over the past 3 or 4 years, I’ve run across this topic, keyword density at least 100 times. There are a ton of theories and recommendations but does anyone really know? Google knows. Other than that I really wonder. Some say 5%… others 6%…and some 10%. What is the best keyword density????
I’ve used 5% and 6% and higher keyword densities. I’ve also used keyword densities as low as 1%. So which keyword density worked best for me? The lower ones for sure. The blogs with the lower keyword densities and more natural content attracted more traffic. I have a celebrity blog in which I write about rich and famous people. I only mention their full name 2 or 3 times in the entire post(400 words) and they get 1st & 2nd page of Google most of the time. I include photos in the content. This gives the article more relevancy. They do well in Google SERPs. So in this blog, keyword density does very little for search engine results pages. However back links have a huge impact on SERPs.
From my experience, keyword density is less important than it used to be years ago. I think Google’s algorithm has reduced the value of keyword density especially since the spammer outbreak. I also think that Google will make another modification to the algorithm to reduce the value of back links in the near future since this is also being abused by buying links. Google’s goal is to list the most relevant websites at the top of a search query and websites with little valuable content but millions of links are not that. And so Google will eventually weed these out.
My advice is to make your website valuable with quality and useful information. If you do this, Google will rank you high in the SERPs no matter what changes occur in the algorithm. I also recommend manual link building instead of buying links or using spammy software. Spam will ruin the Internet. You also do not want your website’s reputation to become tarnished because of spam.
I know there are many websites using paid links in order to gain high rankings in Google and earn money online. I will bet this is a short term scenario. Google has already begun its anti-paid links campaign.
