Web Directory Submission Tip - New Websites

Web directories are a good source for back links and possibly some minor traffic. I use them mostly for back links but also get a small amount of traffic from various web directories.

I have done manual submissions ( very tedious indeed ) and have used some software ( Website Submitter ) that is still manual but speeds up the process by storing your website information like URL, E-mail address, name, etc. This makes it much easier to submit your website to hundreds or thousands of web directories. I think there are over 8,000 web directories. Great tool!

Web directory submission is part of a good SEO strategy for any website. Here’s a tip for anyone that is new to earning money online and blogging. I recommend that you not submit your website to web directories until you have a descent amount of content and the website is at least 6 months old. Here is the reason for this. Many web directories will not accept submissions from new websites or blogs. They only want to list websites that have quality content and are useful. They consider new websites with little content not too useful. They also want to rule out any potential SPAM sites. I have had some of my blogs rejected because they were too new.
